Beginning players must put forth effort in Destiny 2 to become proficient, from completing missions and public events to PvP and strikes. There’s a lot to do!

Bungie has taken great strides to enhance its newcomer experience with new quests that better outline all the basics – with Learning Light Quest being its latest initiative.

How to unlock the Learning Light Quest

Destiny 2 is an immersive video game with plenty of things to do, yet newcomers to the franchise may find themselves overwhelmed. Developer Bungie has implemented tutorials and Guardian Ranks to ease players into its world; however, even after these efforts may leave one feeling overwhelmed. Luckily, the Witch Queen expansion provides fresh activities and a challenging new questline designed to give newcomers all they need for succimer and possibly low-rarity gear. Each patrol mission offers a quick workout that rewards players with experience points, Glimmer, and perhaps a rare load.

What you need to do to unlock the Learning Light Quest

Destiny 2’s Witch Queen expansion introduces a brand-new questline to familiarize players with the game and better harness Light power. However, players may wonder how to access this questline when loading this expansion.

To unlock the Learning Light Quest, players must first collect Maeve’s ghost remains during Schism Mission and calm her remains; this will activate an opening cinematic and send you off to Cosmodrome, where you need to follow a waypoint up until it reaches a cliff where the Traveler resides before returning to Shaw Han and reporting what happened.

As soon as this step is completed, you will obtain the Depleted Weapon Core, which must then be delivered to The Drifter within the Dreaming City for step two of this journey. Completing this task may require several matches before successfully handing off this crucial part.

The Learning Light Quest can be one of the more difficult challenges in Destiny 2, as it requires players to advance far enough through A Guardian Rises and New Light quest lines to complete it successfully. Although challenging, its completion provides an excellent way for newcomers to familiarise themselves with all aspects of Destiny 2, including activities and planets they will encounter.

How to complete the Learning Light Quest

Learning Light Quest was introduced with the Witch Queen expansion and gives veteran players plenty of new activities to enjoy in Destiny 2. Unfortunately, many players find that it doesn’t immediately appear when loading up and playing this expansion, leaving them uncertain about how to access it.

The Learning Light Quest is a new campaign that begins with A Guardian Rises – similar to Destiny 1’s initial mission – designed to welcome new players. Once complete, head straight back into Cosmodrome, where Shaw Han will explain that you have begun taking control of light, which now needs harnessing.

Destiny 2 can be an overwhelming online multiplayer shooter for newcomers, especially since its massive library of loot and activities to discover can be overwhelming. Bungie has tried to address this by providing a new Tutorial and the New Light questline to teach players the basics of Destiny 2.

Veteran Destiny players will gain an extra Switch Skill called Elemental Reload for their bow weapon after completing A Guardian Rises and New Light campaigns, which boosts elemental shot damage. You will have access to this skill upon completing both campaigns.

Where to find the Learning Light Quest

Destiny 2 is an expansive multiplayer shooter featuring hundreds of missions and activities to complete. With multiple expansion packs already released and more on their way, newcomers may feel overwhelmed by all that content available. In response, developer Bungie recently unveiled a Tutorial quest designed to better explain the basics of Destiny 2.

Learning Light Quest is designed to welcome new players into the game and introduce them to its vast shared world. While initially confusing, its tutorial will eventually open up many missions and activities for them to enjoy.

New players will automatically begin the Learning Light Quest when creating a character in the Cosmodrome, taking them through a cinematic similar to what was featured in Destiny itself and ending with their first mission, A Guardian Rises. Veteran players looking for another way can access this quest by visiting one of two Quest Archives in the Tower – one is near Postmaster, while one can be found near H.E.L.M.

Once completed, a New Light Quest will appear on your screen and can be played out as usual. Be sure to record how far along you have come so that you know how far there is left before it disappears!
