Visitors to the park can experience some of the Seven Wonders of the World through replicas of the Taj Mahal, the Great Wall of China, and the Pyramids of Giza found within its boundaries. Eco Park boasts more than just the Seven Wonders; there’s also a small zoo where visitors can see all sorts of animals, from crocodiles to giraffes! Rose Gardens, Sculpture Gardens, and Rabi Aranya will bring smiles and laughter from visitors of all ages, especially children!

Eco Park in Kolkata’s New Town is one of the city’s premier recreational centers. Visitors can also pay to use its 1,600 sq mt ice skating rink.

Eco Park Zoo is home to many species of animals. For optimal viewing experience, the winter months between October and February offer low temperatures and active animals.

Eco Park provides many activities, from ice skating rink roller skating (for 30 minutes at Rs 50 each) and family shikara rides to kayak tours on its lake and games of snooker at its recreation center, and you can even hire a photographer!

Reach the colossal park via road or bus. Buses depart from significant bus stations such as Sealdah, Howrah, and Dum Dum. For those planning on traveling by bus, tickets should be purchased ahead of time to ensure smooth travel. You can also take the train, with many shuttle services departing Kolkata airport providing access. Before booking your ticket, it would be wise to check online for updated schedules and times before purchasing one.

Food Court

Eco Park boasts several eateries and food stalls for tourists to enjoy at an affordable price, serving delicious cuisine. There is also a wide variety of beverages and snacks to choose from, making a visit enjoyable with family or friends. Food stalls can be found near both lakes and musical fountains for added convenience.

Kolkata’s famous tourist attraction features numerous sculptures and other forms of artwork. It is home to various birds and plants, making this an excellent location for picnicking family events and relaxing getaways from city life.

The park is divided into three zones: ecological areas, theme gardens, and open spaces for urban recreation. It features rose gardens, Japanese and Mughal gardens, Biswa Bangla Haat mini zoo, and various themed gardens and adventure activities like rowing, kayaking, cycling, and zorbing, which visitors can try at the park.

Sealdah Railway station offers local bus and train services that will transport you directly to Eco Park, about 10km from the city center. Alternatively, walk or hire a taxi service can also get you there.

The ideal time to visit the park is during winter when temperatures are more comfortable since temperatures in summer can quickly become unbearably hot and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, Monday is off limits; otherwise, the park opens daily from 2:30 pm until 8:30 pm Tuesday through Saturday (and 12 noon until 8:30 pm on Sundays and holidays) before closing back down at 8:30 pm each night.
